Mountains of the World

On the following pages you will find a schematic display of many mountain ranges and their most important summits. Just move your cursor over the red dots – which are by the way placed as accurately as possible on the highest summit – in order to get the names and further interesting details of the moutain range, detached summit or volcano.

Please be aware of the fact, that the height of summits and peaks may differ according to different sources. Where I have not found newer GPS measurement indications, I stated the height noted in the Swiss World Atlas.
Consider also that it was not possible to list all ridges and highlands as well. I limited my choice to those mountain ranges listed explicitely in the Swiss World Atlas.
